Kit Transforms 1990s Porsche 964 to 1973 911 Carrera RS Classic

The Porsche 911 series has a remarkable history stretching back five decades, and perhaps one of the most impressive feats is that the Stuttgart-based company essentially managed to produce the same car for 35 years until it presented the completely new and water-cooled 996 generation in 1998.
You only need to put the classic 911 (1963-1998) next to the revised 964 (1989-1994) and 993 (1993-1998) to see the similarities and the common architecture between the three generations. If you want more proof, then check out what DP Motorsports has to offer owners of the 964 series of the 911.
In celebration of its 40th birthday, the German tuner has crafted a kit that dials back time turning the 964 into a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS clone. The exterior modifications include an optional classic light grey finish, red stripes, new front and rear bumpers, hood, fenders and side sills, plus model-specific lights on both ends and exterior mirrors. It costs €6,828 (US$8,900) – excluding the paint job, while the classic 17-inch Fuchs wheels are priced at €2,236 (US$3,000).
A performance package that boosts the 964 Carrera's 3.6-liter boxer engine from 250PS (247hp) to 280PS (276hp) and which includes a sports exhaust system with a polished stainless steel tailpipe, costs €2,618 (US$3,400).
DP Motorsport also offers other modifications such as a wide-body kit and an interior re-modeling for an extra cost upon request.
