Renault Gives its Kangoo Van Series a Fresh Look and New Features

|

Some five years and more than 400,000 sales after Renault launched the second-generation Kangoo, it's time for the French carmaker to introduce a mid-life facelift for its successful van series that forms the base for the new Mercedes-Benz Citan.Renault’s primary goal with the update was to bring the Kangoo van's styling closer to its other products while also improving its equipment features.
Most exterior changes take place on the front end of the van, which incorporates the styling cues of Renault’s new design language with new headlamps, grille and bumper, while the all-electric Kangoo Van Z.E. sports a new specific front bumper incorporating the flap for the battery charger behind the bigger, blue-tinted, and more vertically-positioned logo. The new door mirrors and restyled tail lamp clusters complete the look.
Inside, Renault redesigned the center console and steering wheel, while new equipment features includes ESC with Hill Start Assist and Grip Xtend, plus, the connected in-dash Renault R-Link multimedia system.
The updated Kangoo Van continues to offer two wheelbase lengths, three versions of the 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine (75, 90 and 110hp) and a choice of two- or five-seat versions of the Kangoo Maxi.
