Last night, Porsche lifted the covers off its all-new Boxster that will make its official world premiere at the upcoming 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March. The two-seater roadster model will arrive in European dealerships in early April with a starting price of €48,291 (US$61,500) in Germany, followed by the U.S. later this summer with prices beginning from US$49,500 (€38,900).
The skinny on the third generation of the Boxster is that it's longer and wider, but at the same time lighter than the outgoing model, thanks to the new aluminum body and revised chassis, while it launches with a new 265HP 2.7-liter flat-six for the base model and a tweaked 3.4-liter unit with 315HP for the Boxster S.
A cleaner look with styling cues borrowed from the 918 Spyder Concept and an upgraded interior with more space and a more mature design, along with a fully automatic cloth top complete the highlights.
If you scroll down a click or two, you'll find a new gallery with 80 photos and two videos of the 2013 Boxster and Boxster S. Once you're done, you may also want to head over to Porsche's dedicated website and play around with the 2013 Boxster's configurator.
