Nissan is widening the choices for Navara buyersin Britain with the presentation of a new and more affordable entry-level version of its double cab pick-up truck named the Visia. The new model comes with a de-tuned 2.5-liter diesel engine and is available for order now priced from £17,995 CVOTR compared to £19,411 for the 187hp (190PS) Acenta Double-Cab, with deliveries beginning January 2013.
The Visia's 2.5-litre dCi common-rail diesel four-cylinder engine produces 142hp (144PS) and 258 lb-ft (350Nm) of torque and is capable of up to 39.8mpg UK (33mpg US or 7.1lt/100km) on the extra urban cycle, and 33.6mpg UK on the combined cycle.
Nissan says it has made some "smart savings" in specs to make the Visia more affordable, such as the black colored instead of chromed-plated interior door handles and front grille, the use of conventional wiper blades in place of the better flat blades, and the single tone front bumper.
Standard features include a part-time four-wheel drive, air conditioning, central door locking, six airbags, a CD player, Bluetooth connectivity and ESP.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the Navara Visia has a 2,600kg (5,732 pounds) towing capacity and a maximum 1,250kg (2,756 pounds) payload.
