Nissan Commences Sales of Updated 2013 GT-R in Europe, Laps 'Ring in 7:18.6

A couple of months after its world premiere at last year’s LA Auto Show, the updated for 2013 (2014MY in North America) Nissan GT-R has gone on sale in Europe. It may look no different from the outgoing model but under the skin, the new GT-R features a raft of improvements. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 now pumps out 545HP (550PS) and 463 lb-ft (627 Nm) of torque and sports high-output injectors, a new relief valve for the turbocharger bypass and a new oil pan baffle.
The chassis has gained reinforcements to the dash panel bar and instrument member panel to increase rigidity. The dampers, springs and front anti-roll bars have been revised to offer better stability at high speeds and the driveshafts have been reinforced for improved reliability.
All these changes have been implemented after Nissan's Team GT-R entered a stock GT-R in the 2012 Nürburgring 24-hour endurance race and studying the data they collected.
As a result, the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time has dropped by 0.1 seconds, to just 2.7, and according to Nissan, the 2013 GT-R is capable of lapping the Nordschleife in7:18.6 compared to the 7:21.0 time of its predecessor.
Ladies and gentlemen, the order books are now officially open so form an orderly line, please…
