In exactly one week from today, the 2013 edition of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit will open its doors to the press welcoming more than 50 worldwide and North American debuts.We've already informed you about a number of premieres ranging from production cars like the seventh generation of the Corvette and theInfiniti Q50 executive sedan to concept studies such as the BMW 4-Series and the Acura MDX, but as you may expect, there are plenty more to come.
U.S. publication Automotive News has compiled a preliminary list of new production and concept cars, which aside from the vehicles we already know about, adds several new models to the mix that have yet to be officially announced.
These include the 2015 Ford F-150 Concept that previews the next generation of the Blue Oval's best-seller, which is said to feature an aluminum-intensive body to significantly reduce weight and improve performance and fuel economy numbers.
Hyundai will also show a concept model, believed to preview the new Genesis luxury sedan, and Lincoln is said to debut the MKC Concept crossover based on the latest Ford Escape, while according to dealer sources, Volkswagen will demonstrate two new concepts, for a seven-seater SUV model positioned between the Tiguan and the Touareg, and a more powerful version of the Passat, possibly wearing the 'R' moniker.
Finally, the report mentions that Nissan will reveal the production version of its redesigned 2014 Versa hatchback.
